One of the best things about staying at hotels in Hua Hin near the night market is that you will also be right in the middle of, or very close to all the major town attractions including the primary social entertainment area. Something to keep in mind however is that there are several street bazaars operating from approximately 17:30 pm. So be careful what you read online and choose the right one to stay close to.
Lined with stalls and atmospheric restaurants where crab and lobster sizzle on the BBQ Chatchai is the biggest street bazaar and open every night. Cross this road and keep walking another 300 meters and you are in the centre of the nightlife scene and right by the main beach.
Only 2 kilometers down the main road from here is the Grand Market with 5 star hotels like the Cape Nidhra in close proximity. It is a different set-up to Chatchai, but almost as big and you can eat really cheap. Another 3 km further south is the arty Cicada weekend bazaar in Takiab. It is nothing like the typical scene one usually finds and while it does sell clothes and handcraft, it showcase expert local art and offer quaint outdoor dining under the trees.
