The luxury Shangri La Bangkok is a romantic riverside hotel in the Silom / Bangrak area of the city 3 km from China Town. Bangrak features the famous Patpong market and some of the most noteworthy rooftop bars and restaurants in the city such as Sirocco Sky Bar and Restaurant at Le Bua State Tower which is within walking distance of the hotel. Saphan Taksin BTS is steps away for convenient access to other parts of Bangkok and river taxis stand by to whisk you to riverside attractions such as Asiatique shopping and lifestyle mall and the Grand Palace.

However, dining experiences more magical and romantic than offered by Shangri-La will be tough to match. You can for example board its private river boat for a dinner cruise at sunset, dine at the atmospheric Next2 riverside restaurant, or sit down at the elegant Cantonese or Italian restaurants. A waterfront swimming pool is the place to unwind after a work-out in a modern gym, after a few rounds at the tennis or squash courts, or after an hour's yoga at the health centre. The most hypnotizing indulgences however await at the award winning CHI Spa.

Complimented with exquisite Thai elegance and equipped with all the usual amenities such as English TV, free internet, in-house movies and DVD players, mini bars, luxurious bathrooms with marble top baths and showers, pillow menus and plush furniture the hotel's rooms are dived into two separate wings. The first is the Shanri-La wing which feature all river view suites with club privileges and 4 different room types. These include the 36 sq.m deluxe room which does not have a balcony, offers city views and only glimpses of the river.

To make sure you wake up to sweeping views we suggest the deluxe river view room which have the same dimensions and amenities as the normal deluxe room. The deluxe balcony room allow you to enjoy those views with a breeze in your hair. If you don't mind splashing a little more the Premier Room is 56 sq.m adorned in local works of art, has a separate living room with a sofa bed and a TV additional to the one in the bedroom. They do however not have a balcony and only partial river views. The 44 sq.m rooms in the Krungthep Wing features expansive outdoor terraces with enchanting river views, they include club lounge privileges and have a separate entrance lobby.
