No matter what time of the year you go to Pattaya, when you arrive it is going to be somewhere between warm and suffocatingly hot. So if you are leaving your home in Europe during December, rid yourself of your windbreaker just before boarding your flight. You are not going to need it.Our best advice is to travel light. In Pattaya, or anywhere in Thailand for that matter, you will be living in a short and T-Shirt. To keep things simple, the weather in Pattaya sees two seasons. Hot and dry and hot, humid and wet.
The rainy season starts in May and persist until end October. Rain here is mostly experienced in thunder showers during the late afternoon and and late at night for an hour or two at a time. It is not impossible to see a two day long downpour, but these are few and far between. The up-side is that during the rainy season prices for resorts in Pattaya Thailand are at their lowest and enticing special deals are on offer. From November things get dryer again and fine weather is experienced until end April. November until mid December is shoulder season in terms of tourism and accommodation prices are moderate. Mid December to mid January sees peak season and higher accommodation prices.
